1984 Topps Darryl Strawberry Rookie Card
This is a really good card to have. Just imagine how much better a career he would have without all the off the field issues. This guy is a must have for any Yankee or Met collector.
1984 Topps Don Mattingly Rookie Card
WOW! So this was a card I really wanted, and now I have it. This is definitely a Yankee fan must have, and truly a card that belongs in the baseball card hall of fame!
2003 Upper Deck Yankee Signature Series Tommy Henrich
Well, this guy could have been a popular player if it wasn't for Dimaggio, and when you look at his stats, you can say he was a good player. Lifetime Henrich hit a .282 batting average with 183 home runs, and 795 RBI. He led the AL in triples twice too and won 4 championships.
1963 Topps World Series Game 3 "Maris Sparks Yankee Rally"
This card is awesome. It doesn't book for too much, but it features Roger Maris in a World Series game against the Giants in which he was 1-3 with a run scored. I really, really like this card!
So, all in all, thanks to dad for giving me these great cards!
Also, I mentioned earlier today that I got some stuff from my friends. I got the 2009 Yankees team set, and the 2008 Yankee Stadium Legacy Commerative Blue Card set, and also, my friend Mike gave me this awesome card:
1983 Donruss Tony Gwynn Rookie Card
This is an amazing card! I can't believe all in a little time I got rookie cards of Gossage, Eckerlsey, Gwynn, Strawberry, and Mattingly! Unbelievable! Thanks Mike and Matt, and see ya!
Lastly, tomorrow I will be gone, because my dad and I are going to the Yankee game tomorrow. It is also Old Timers Day, so I'll try to get some great pictures and enjoy it as much as I can. So I'll see you in a while!
great cards! nice of your dad to get those for you.
ReplyDeleteNow you need a rc of Gooden. Another off field issue case, but he was dominant.
and any Roger Maris card is an awesome card. The best of the bunch by far.
Yeah, thanks, I was about to say Gooden didn't pitch for the Yankees, but how could I forget his no-hitter about 10 years before my time?
